How often does AMP sync to Firefly III?

Syncs are event-driven: AMP notifies Redbark via CDR webhooks when new data is available, and your Firefly III updates soon after, within a few hours of a transaction posting, with no fixed polling schedule.

Is my AMP connection read-only?

Yes. Redbark requests read-only access under the CDR. It can read transactions and balances, and can never move money or change your AMP accounts.

Does Redbark store my AMP data?

No. Redbark uses a pass-through architecture: your AMP transactions are proxied live to Firefly III. We store consent records, encrypted tokens and minimal account metadata, never transaction amounts, descriptions or balances.

Is Redbark independently security tested?

Yes. Redbark was penetration tested in July 2026 by Project Black, a CREST-accredited Australian security firm, covering the web app, REST API, MCP server and admin console. The test returned zero critical and zero high-risk findings, and every finding raised was remediated and confirmed closed on retest.

Do I need a bridge script for AMP?

No. Redbark implements SimpleFIN directly, which the Firefly III data importer supports natively. You paste one setup token and the importer handles the rest.

Why is my first AMP import slow?

The importer backfills history in 44-day windows, and with no start date it begins at 1970. Set a start date in the importer and the first run drops to a handful of requests.

Sync AMP to Firefly III in three steps

Connect AMP

Link your AMP accounts to Redbark through CDR Open Banking, then generate a SimpleFIN setup token in Settings and name it after your Firefly instance.

Claim the token in the importer

Run the Firefly III data importer, choose the SimpleFIN import flow, and paste the setup token when it asks. The importer claims it once and keeps its own private credentials.

Set a start date and import

Give the importer a start date before the first run. Without one it walks history from 1970 in 44-day chunks, which makes the initial AMP import very slow.
