# Redbark for iPhone

> Join the TestFlight beta and view your connected accounts from an encrypted local app.

Redbark for iPhone is available as a public TestFlight beta. It is a private viewing app for the accounts already connected to Redbark Sync.

## Requirements

* An iPhone running iOS 18 or later
* An existing Redbark account on any plan except the Zerosum plan
* TestFlight, installed from the App Store

Create and connect your Redbark account at [app.redbark.com](https://app.redbark.com) before signing in on iPhone. Account creation is not available in the beta app.

## What the app shows

* Net worth, assets, liabilities, and account balances
* Up to two years of banking transactions and spending analysis
* Brokerage holdings and trades
* Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for net worth, spending, recurring payments, balances, recent transactions, and investments
* **Ask**, an on-device assistant for your financial history. Ask requires iOS 26, Apple Intelligence, and a supported device.

The app is a viewer. Continue to manage connections, destinations, syncs, billing, and your account in the [Redbark web app](https://app.redbark.com).

## Data and iCloud

Downloaded financial data is encrypted in the app's private database on your iPhone. Redbark does not add that data to a server-side financial ledger.

Encrypted iCloud sync is on by default. It stores app-encrypted records in your private iCloud account so another authorised device can restore the last synchronised state. Redbark cannot read those records. You can turn iCloud sync off under **More → Settings → iCloud sync**.

Turning sync off keeps the records on your current iPhone and leaves the existing encrypted copy in iCloud. **Delete synced data** removes the iCloud copy and stops it syncing to other devices, without deleting the records on the current iPhone.

  iCloud sync is not a point-in-time backup. Changes that have not synchronised, deleted iCloud data, or loss of all devices and iCloud Keychain recovery material can cause permanent data loss.

## Privacy controls

* Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode protects access to the encrypted local database.
* Widget amounts are hidden by default.
* **Hide app when switching or recording** can cover the app in the app switcher and during screen recording. It does not prevent still screenshots.
* Diagnostics start enabled and can be turned off under **More → Settings → Security**. Turning them off stops future collection but cannot recall events already sent.
* **Help and support** creates a local diagnostic report for you to preview. It leaves the phone only when you explicitly email or share it.

## Beta limits

The app is still being validated for an App Store release. Physical-device privacy, performance, encrypted multi-device recovery, App Attest, and final App Store privacy and export reviews remain open release gates.
