# Match bank transfers in YNAB

> Open Banking can provide each side of a transfer separately without enough information to link the pair automatically.

Transfers between your own accounts can arrive in YNAB as separate inflow and outflow transactions rather than one linked YNAB transfer.

Banks commonly publish each side as an independent transaction. The Open Banking record may not contain a reliable link between those two records, so Redbark cannot always identify them as one transfer pair.

Match the two transactions manually in YNAB. YNAB can remember the payee relationship and improve matching for similar transfers later.

This does not mean the transactions were duplicated. Both sides represent separate entries in the source accounts.
